Thanks, I'm just really loving this piece... ;D
Next is trying to figure out the frame...
I also just bought the one that Denning donated for the auction with WC's charity...
the winning bidder flaked on the final sale so WC was kind enough to sell it to me without having to re-list it on ebay... I'll post some picts of that when it gets here, hoping sometime next week... ;D

Wow! You got it then. That's great photoxtc. +1. It's the unstretched canvas one isn't it? Beautiful piece too. That's quite a collection of originals you're building up there mate. Very nice. Look forward to seeing some pics of what you do with these latest two.

wow - that frame is just spot on for that piece, It looks like the piece is on the outside of the glass? Well done

My Framer had to double frame this to make it work with the outside frame you see, the canvas was too thick so he had to box frame it then put this outer frame on top that... interesting how he did and it looks amazing and of course all tucked under a beautiful piece of museum glass ;D

not being rude but how much was the frame and size. PM me if its a delicate subject. Fame size is 77cm x 77cm and the cost was around £400 a little costly but you seriously have to use museum glass with Denning's pieces which in turn brings up the cost a bit, also I used a pretty ornate frame so you can kind of see where the cost comes from... In the long run it's worth spending a little extra cash to protect your canvas... ;D

That sounds a bit out of my league but hats off to you. The framer has done an excellent job, one of the best I have seen and if you have a quality piece you need to show it off in style and you've certainly done that.

That really is a cracking framing job, even though it's making me kick myself for not getting the museum glass. I just couldn't afford it on mine, but Guy's work really does demand it, especially with the darker tones and the amount of varnish.... it just reflects so much! Maybe I will treat myself to an upgrade later in the year

Thanks rhodesy.. that is exactly why I went with the Museum glass on all 3 of my Denning canvases, just as you said, varnish, darker tones and then if you were to couple that with the glass reflecting it would just be too much...
Just upgrade at another time and the cost won't seem so high and you will truly love it once you do it... ;D
