As I suspected - just had confirmation that I can't make the preview . Work prevails. Yet again. I hope you all have a great time and please post some pics for all to see. Let's hope there are some bargains to be had! Looking at the Affordable Art Fair website there looks to be some fantastic art available.

And wreck my 100% attendance record and commitment to the cause!!? Pah! No, seriously, I'm gutted that I'm missing this. But I just can't get away as I'm up in Sheffield this week. It would have been great to meet up with you good folks I've not met and those that I have, bigman, silky etc. Bram, I'd much rather be getting an 'affordable' Denning! Have fun. Are you going tonight silky? How about you Mr H? That reminds me, what are you up to art wise at the moment H? I loved your 'dummy' piece at the 12 days show in Bristol. I'm sure it was yours wasn't it? It really was one of the best pieces there. Amazingly, it was still for sale when I was there too!

It really was one of the best pieces there. Amazingly, it was still for sale when I was there too! I wouldv'e loved to have made it to the show but sadly I couldn't make it - my day job has me working ridiculous 12+ hour shifts The perils of the games industry. That said, I do intend to make it to the 'International Workers Day' show in Bristol in May to blow the froth off a few with Guy As for the piece you refer to at the 12 days of Xmas, it was entitled 'The Ang-azing Ga-gy Jee-gus!' and yeah it was mine ;D It certainly raised a few smiles but sadly didn't sell - oh well As for new art - funnily enough I've just updated the MrH Art 1stamp emporium with the latest releases entitled 'Dismayland' - I hope you like them - I certainly had fun designing them. But enough about my stuff- who's got the pictures from the show - let's be having you! Aitch

Yeah, sorry..I didn't take any pictures..it was a bit difficult to hold a camera at the same time as two glasses of the free wine.... There was a lot of realy great stuff there. Guys work was great. A couple of huge pieces, and lots of sketches. Most of the big oil on canvas pieces were around £1900-£2500. The sketches were £795....they're really nice, and I had my heart set on the one of the woman smoking....but I can't bring myself to pay that for a sketch. The little canvases were £495, which I think iks pretty good value. Me and Mrs Rhodesy were on a real flying visit, as we had to get a train back to Bristol. But we saw a lot of good stuff. Did anyone else see those glass sculpture figures???

Cheers for the info folks. No pics though eh? I wonder if Alison took any? £495 for the small canvases sounds ok in today's climate. From what we've seen on guy's site they look rather special too.
Great to hear you've been so busy Aitch. Thanks for posting an update. I got your email circular shortly after Im posted which was a coincidence. You have pm.

Hi all Alison was great, really helpful and full of advice. me and the wife (and 9 week old baby) got there early, and bought 2 of the canvases. had a look around, some interesting stuff (and saw sarah beeny and jeffery archer), liked Kate Marshalls stuff, cant remember who was selling it. then convinced the wife that as its my birthday we should buy another Denning drawing, and Degenhardt canvas, whose work was pretty impressive too.
There were 2 really large charcoal drawings by Dening that were really impressive, I really loved one with a guy with his hands behind his head, but £2900 was a bit too much for me alas.
