First off Dan, you're absolutely right...none of the photo's do them justice. There were several pieces at the show which I really thought stood out
Vanity Fair & Raft Of Medusa were placed together at the show, and really worked as a pair. Dark and foreboding
Minatour Woman & Accidental Anarchist also seemed to fit together (although they were facing each other in the room) I struggled for ages between the two, but bought Accidental Anarchist
My Favourite work was Flag Blue 3, an Oil on paper portrait, but it had already sold by the time I got my credit card out....come on ..own up..who bought it???

I thought the pieces at the show were absolutely stunning. Obviously not all of the subject matter was to my taste, but I loved 'The Garden of Earthly Delights', 'Petrol Bomber' (you're a very lucky bloke Top!) and the 9-11 pieces. His 'Flag' studies on paper were amazing too, and the three pieces that featured Coleen had to be my favourites out of the bunch - so moody The texture of Guys' paintings have to be seen to be believed and no matter how high quality the image, they will never capture the depth. 'The Days of our Lives' piece still had a smell of fire associated with it which hit you as you walked into the gallery itself. On the whole, I thought there was some great pieces and some very very happy owners. I had a good chat with Guy, and drank a few of his beers (to stop him getting too drunk obviously) and found him to be a top bloke, very approachable and with a very down to earth mentality. And I'm looking forward to working with him in the not-too-distant

I have misinformed images patrolling my imagination.. sounds highly interesting misteraitch, you both got on like a house on fire (excuse the fire pun..unintentional & nearly a tragic disaster eh..) i recall so good luck with the discussions (end the formalities you two!!..get on with producing your venture soon!) regards top

And as for garden of earthly delights !!!! if that sold for any less than £4000 it was an absolute bargain !!! It amazing... would love to own that one. Well I am happy to tell you it was only £5 less !!! I can't wait for it to arrive, photos just don't do it justice. It is a very powerful piece. The rest of the pieces were great too. Couldn't resist buying Flag too, in fact I bought it about 5 minutes after Red Propeller opened their doors! New to this but after seeing Guy's previous work on his website I knew the 5/11 show would be amazing ;D

You lucky so-and so! Congrats on your purchase and welcome to the forum Laing
I have to admit - it was the blonde girl with the glasses in the centre of the painting that did it for me - I couldn't take my eyes off her. She really gave the piece life

Congrats Laing! I know the RP pics don't really do these justice but I know what you mean about the woman in the glasses H. Totally unexpected and really draws you in. Do post some pics when you get the chance.
