oh sh1t mate!!!! Really sorry to hear that. Did the seller not send it recorded or with any kind of tracking number? Is this a dodgey sale and needs the police involved? I hope you find it.

Thats terrible, I remember enquiring about this piece when it was up for sale some time ago, the seller seemed genuine to me so hopefully its just lost in the post and will eventually turn up!

Ok What post office or company was it sent by time and date.Check the posting yourself. Contact the company or post office it has to have gone through a sort of some type, if its the post office you need to find the sorting office, What type of container was it in crate tube? if its a company get the drivers details or contact the companie or the Security department, if its a big shipping company they will have a loss prevention dept witgh investigators. Was it insured no consolation but money is money. What the hell did they post it not recorded etc are they mad!!!!. Just take your time and look at thhis carefully. Ensure it was shipped, not being a deadbeat or a doubting thomas but this is in my field If you are unsure of anything then yes call into the local Plod shop and ask for some friendly advice. Let me know how you get on or PM me and i will try to help.BTC

The piece showed up today, had to be all over the guy at the postoffice for them to make a decent effort to find it. Lovely piece, new problem: Lady hates it...

Thanks for all your words of encouragement, would have been sad if this had gone lost. And yes, I am not very pretty but then I must compensate since my missus is.

Great news it's arrived - huge relief for you, and always worrying if a piece of art might be lost forever. Which piece was it? Pics? Do you have a room for pieces of art that the missus doesnt like to be consigned to? I do - it works quite well. c

Well, obviously this isn´t going on the wall, so if anyone on the board wants it for what I paid, they can purchase this very fine piece of art at a very decent price.

No wonder you were worrying this hadn't turned up. All that potential quick profit down the pan. Phew, what a happy story this turned out to be in the end.

Eeeeasy Scavos! Hope you're keeping well mate! I didn't realise you were a mod' in here. Never got round to joining here originally (or if I did I've no idea what the account info I had was!). Just to comment on Origo's sketch and recent events. I've had some contact with him on this issue and he's made it pretty clear he's happy to sell it on at his cost price (£900), both in the Banksy forum and to me by PM there. If Steve (@ Hipart) has offered to help find a buyer, he's entitled to ask a higher price of course, as I'm sure he'll get a commission from the sale and I'm also sure he'd entertain offers below the asking price. So in a nutshell you might be being a little harsh on old Origo, who has seemed willing to move the piece on at the same price he paid, which seems fair to me. Personally I still feel £900 is steep in the current climate, especially after seeing Neil's stunning oil on paper go for £745 earlier on today (I sooo wish I had some spendable sheet!!!), but I would absolutely love this prep' sketch on my wall and I know it's had a lot of admirers over the past few months on the other forum. I hope to become a positive contributor in here anyway mate and also that you're enjoying those MB pieces! Take it easy!

That is is simply out of order, I have offered this at cost to any member in here, a few contacted me and I actually went down in price. Get your details right. Anyone who splashed 900 GBP on a piece would be worried, no matter what the motivations might be. Find me one member either here or on Banksy that´s been offered this with a profit coming my way, and I will give it to you for free Scavos.

I'm sure it was meant as a tongue in cheek remark.
Good luck with the sale but it does seem as if buyers are taking advantage of the the credit crunch/recession and am surprised at the recent prices some pieces have gone for. Saying that there are similair pieces on RP for twice your asking price and roughly the same as what the Hipart are asking. I don't think people are at odds with the price you are asking but will probably be surprised that you are selling the piece so quickly.

I bought the piece for my own hard earned money, I am offering it at cost. I can´t see why I need to explain, in fact, me letting people know why I am selling is more information than they are entitled to, and god knows why Scavos thinks that he has the right to judge me or my motivations.

nice seeing you over here heavyconsumer.... Likewise sir! And I note you're a figure of some authority here! Did you get that proxy issue sorted out, a while back? I came in here and checked out peoples' art and I'm sure I didn't need to register/log in back then. I guess it's good in a way, as at least now I've had to register and in some small way get to show some support to Guy and appreciation of his work, even if I can't really afford to buy it. (That'll teach me to choose a proper career in the next life, instead of spending my 20s fart-arsing around, travelling and getting high ;D)

All this came out more negative than the intention were, when I bought this piece I was never thinking profit, I respect Guy´s work way too much for that.
I have way too many paintings laying around, in fact I am so obsessed with it that I will never have enough walls to hang all of them, I am not in this for a quick buck, I love art way too much for that.
