I don't like to criticise anyone's work, especially when he's giving them away....

You have to be honest. You cant say that all work that artists produce is good even when its "given away. I'm not dissing anyone here but its mass marketing free art for all, if this goes on a lot more artists will be in a worse state than they are now, theres no such thing as a free lunch and theres a reason for everything. This is my personal opinion [glow=red,2,300]dat all bro LOL[/glow]

However mass-producing these prints and dropping them does not really tie in with how I'd previously perceived that ethos. I have to agree with you BTC, that this was simply a case of PR and good luck to the man, I certainly have no problem with that. As for the image, it's OK, but not worth anything like what people have been paying for them on ebay imo.

I liked the idea but afterwards on hearing that some had taken up to 9 of these off the streets, the unbelievable price some idiots were flipping/buying these for and then Adam condoning the resale of them kind of spoilt the whole thing. It was a PR stunt which could have been done better.
I would of thought that setting up a quick web site and putting a unique code on each with an instruction slip would of added to the PR stunt, people who found them could then register where they found them and we could all work out where they were and how many were still missing. This simple trick could of prolonged the PR campaign.
The fact that Adam agreed with those flipping them for huge sums was a bit disappointing, he originally said that he was turning London into a gallery, which doesn't really work if heavily courting the media results in the pieces being hunted down and removed from the streets before your ordinary Joe's got a look at them. Maybe he should have planted them all, left them for a good 24 hours before announcing to anyone about the event, and then courted the media.
I feel sorry for those who shelled out 1k and above for these on ebay (+the majority of the other buyers).
I still like his work though and I'm sure the event was successful in raising his profile.
