Who's coming then?? Happy Holidays from Mauger Modern Art - We're breaking at 4.00pm Christmas eve and re-opening on the Tuesday 6th January. Next up at the gallery we're very pleased to announce MIX/RE-MIX, an exhibition featuring new works by Guy Denning and Harry Simmonds. For this first two man show at the gallery, the artists have created a powerful series of portraits linked by a collaborative experiment - each artist 'remixing' the others painting, using the initial marks as a guide before claiming the piece as their own. The works will be shown for the first time on Saturday 7 February 2009. For a price list and to register for a preview of available works please contact the gallery. Postal invitations will be sent out early January. I'm REALLY beginning to like Harry's work.......can I afford one though? ? Yeah, I'm really liking Harry's work as well and think I need a piece of his hanging on my walls... Guy's work is always amazing, that goes without saying... For all of you that haven't seen these yet, there will be the Mix/Remix pieces and solo stuff from both artist as well, it looks like it's going to be a pretty amazing show!!! Every single piece is absolutely stunning... Prices seem pretty fair for the current (F**KED UP) state of our economy I would post the picts but I think I may need permission first...

Hey photoxtc - cheers for that; you're dead right, they are absolutely stunning. They're up on GD's site now so ok to post. www.guydenning.org/guyorg/0902/0902.htmCheck out these amazing images of Guy's latest work for this show! Back in the Day is beautiful and Sticks and Stones just pure class. I love the bronzy tones in this body of work. Earthy as hell. I note there's a limited edition print (25) of Sticks and Stones available from the show too. Very tempting.
