Show was absolutely amazing, the best body of work I have seen thus far... Guy's paintings always looks so much more amazing in person...
I'm eating Thai food in a place right next door to the gallery right now and typing on the iPhone but will post some Picts when I get home...

here's some picts from the show, as promised... As we all know it's really hard to capture the true beauty of Denning's paintings with photos... these may be a little dark but I really didn't want to use a flash because of the glare from all the varnish, paint, texture... you all know the drill... Really great turn out at the show , more and more people kept piling in as the night went on.. People seemed to be in complete awe of this body of work, truly some of the best art I have ever seen to date!!! It was pretty fun just sitting back and listening to people comment on which piece was their fave... The high point of the show for me (other than the actual paintings) was this older lady which looked to be about 80+ came up to me asking about Denning, wanted to know all the dirt on him, where he lived, if he was at the show because she really wanted to meet/talk with him and how she was just in love with his work... Made my night having a chat with her. I can only hope to be 80 some odd years old and still hitting gallery openings and enjoying new art out there ;D I highly recommend if you're in Hollywood to stop by the gallery and have a look, you'll be more than happy you did, you really need to see these paintings in person!!!

Thanks for the pics photo - sounds like you had a blast. What sort of numbers would you put on the turn out? and more importantly where did you place the red dot(s)?

There's some seriously stunning pieces of work there G - It's about time you had your Fifteen Minutes of Shame! I'd also like to say a huge thanks to photoxtc for the lowdown and for taking the time to photograph the show "Surge Successful, Stop Now, Watch This" has to be my favourite piece of the series, but also like the fact that there's some screaming heads in amongst the work Aitch

I went by the gallery again today and took another long look at the Madonna piece.... It's calling me, but I must exercise some restraint. Someone, please make my life easier and buy it!
