Hey photo, that's right; you get yourself over here to Blighty where it's all going on. Oh and bring those originals of yours with you! What's with the dates on this show? The opening night is the night after it...erm...opens. Or am I going mad?

I reckon the opening night may be more of a celebration if all goes well at Bonhams. I bet there will be a few sore heads if both pieces get a good reaction.

I'm really not sure that an auction is the best place for Guy's work at the moment. It doesn't seem right selling new pieces that way. Maybe it's just me, but I think it might be a mistake. I hope I'm completely wrong

By the sounds of it it was Bonhams who approached RP to submit a piece(s). I presume that as they had pretty much sold out there was no option but to commission them. Either way I think it is a compliment to be asked and would have been pretty difficult to turn down.
I agree, had it been the other way around then it would look at bit odd to be selling brand new canvases at this auction.
I think that the exposer can not do Guy any harm (unless the pieces don't sell, which i am sure won't happen.).
Also Dan Baldwin has a couple of pieces at the auction and I'm not sure whether these are from a direct source or not.
I still think it is very interesting. I personally hope the pieces make a bit of noise and help to continue Guy's ascendancy.

Guy's on our side, cant see him selling pieces for ridiculous sums really. If originals go for 3k min in the near future though, i'm out the game Not to worry, Guy is working class and is not a bread head..so were safe ;D ;D ;D
