Hi Scavos
I kept looking at the Chinook, such a cool piece, will look brill framed up
But I opted for the anonymous head instead because the wife made me :-)
I sent it off to Mrframeman on Thursday and when I spoke to Gary about it, I said I hadnt a clue what I wanted, so he is giving me a call the early part of next week when he has it to discuss
Any ideas yet how you want yours framed?

Hey thanks guys. You know what? I've put this one in Gary's hands to see what he comes up with. He told me he had another two or three pieces on paper from the latest RP sale coming to him next week. (Popular chap!) I can't wait to see what he comes up with. ;D

Hey thanks for your first post here bebop and welcome. Please post some pics of no. 9 when you get it. I'm sure it'll be worth the wait. I've literally just posted these same pics over onto the Get Them Out thread on the Banksy forum. It'll be really interesting to see the reaction. People were fairly negative over there when I'd said which one I went for a couple of weeks back which is fine by me of course. However, some did say they really liked it too. For me it was a very instant appeal. I'd love to know from Guy why he decided to do this Chinook piece as it seems such a departure from his portraits.

Yeah, The Chinook is a very different the sort of images we normally see from Guy. Would be great as a big canvas! imagine a piece about 5 foot across with a couple of Chinooks and an Apache ;D would be incredible! ;D Guy are you reading this? ;D

Thanks photoxtc. It'll be interesting to see what reception this gets on the Banksy forum. Very mixed reaction before framing. Which of course if fine by me. C'mon manty, you've been dying to see this one.

I totally agree. Gary has done a sterling job and really brought the best out of this piece. I'm sure you won't be disappointed. What piece is it he's doing for you again? Look forward to seeing the finished article fella.

Thank you top. Glad you like it. Yeah, the frame really sets this piece off. It's interesting to see the 'Oil Painting' piece up on the 5-11 thread on Banksy as it has my Chinook on there. This would appear to be a preparitory piece for that canvas. Yey!! ;D Congrats to the owner of this stunning canvas. I was so tempted but really had to refrain! ;D

hi scavos! yep, looks like you got the chinook covered 1st huh! ' the oil painting' is a major piece, that was my first choice on the night but a kind word from a fellow 5/11 attendee(please reveal yourself!!-many thanks)swung it to 'petrol bomber'. 'the oil painting' was too dark for my tastes on the night, stunning isnt it!! c'mon, who bought it?!

I believe it was the lucky cocteau101. I'll look forward to seeing that in place. Have to say, it looks massive from the photos but difficult to tell. I like the fact that on my Chinook piece, Guy has written 'Oil Painting' written on it, (thanks Leigh ) which really confirms the preparitory connection.

Soon to be on your wall cocteau101! he must be grinning from ear to ear eh scavos! ..truly an epic piece from Guy.. It is not as big as the picture suggests, but far outgrows the canvas..awesome and scary. 'Heli' heaven scavos! whirlybirds are off the ground.. great that they compliment each other so well, love it! Leigh peached it for you scavos, what a lovely lady -spot on.

Yeah he must be well chuffed top! Lucky, lucky person! Crackawacka was also pondering over that one. Nah, the thanks to Leigh was pointing out the Oil Painting reference to me which although I'd seen on my piece, I hadn't realised the certainty of the connection. You're right, she really is a lovely lady. She kindly popped up to mine to deliver some pieces and was interested to see Chinook in the flesh. We had a very good chat! (See the pics of my lil Denning family in the other thread).
