ah, i was trying to ad the photo but having problems. this is of a man seated neext to a window..appearing to be on a train..the paper is yellow..the man is in black and the colors are yellow black and very nice reds with hint of orange and green. my 3 year old son says 'this is looking like you papa'..ha! but no, i am not so old yet my boy!! take care my friends and enjoy the sea, the mountains, the city, or just a lover and a glass of something strong this holiday!
i will do my best to research this piece and guy..i see this man is an important piece to much of his art! i wish i did have the provenance/coa as this would give me more information to tell you my friends. bye now

Russian Train Journey 1 Good strong piece haisurf and a warm welcome to the forum. I'm no expert on this but if you email Guy about it I'm sure he'll get back to you when he can. With the coa I wouldn't be too worried if it's not signed. That said, you never know, you might be able to arrange for him to sign it for you. You will see from his site that it was painted in 2005. www.guydenning.org/guyorg/sitedocuments/archive/2005_archive/2005_pages/0387.htm

this is the piece! ah, you are very marvelous!!! haha..i am so surprised and happy. it is so amazing to see the internet working..really working. i say hello and this quickly i have a reply and then another reply with a picture of the actual art i am having right next to me at this moment--so funny!! i wish i could stay and just talk, read, learn, make friends but i must be back to working. i am an artist as well..ha..but my art is shaping surfboards here at my workshop behind my house.
that is so very great..amazing without question amazed. i am looking at the piece in my lap at the same time i see it on the internet!!! just very funny.
i say to you all that read this--have a beautiful day and let them all be a true holiday.

Welcome haisurf...
Lovely piece there and I would do as suggest above and try emailing Denning, he's a lovely Fellow and very approachable, I'm sure he would be happy to answer any question about the piece, I've emailed him myself with a few questions and he's always more than helpful...
On Another Note.... Where do you Shape?? I have a few really good friends that are very well known in the Shaping industry, you may know them as well...

Hi Haisurf, Just to confirm this is a Guy Denning original, it was sold by us at TFA and I had a signed COA with it. Guy will usually sign pieces on the back but with some of his older work he didn't sign them. Hope this is helpful to you and that you get your COA soon.
